Today we are talking about Frederick Co growth. This is a topic that comes up a lot, because we have seen Frederick kind of explode in the past four to five years.

Frederick Co Growth

According to the 2020 Census, 14,513 people were living in Frederick. I know that has gone up since then. We are in 2022 now and by the looks of all the new neighborhoods going in, I’m sure our population has grown. That was a 67% increase since the Census in 2010, so that gives you an idea how much we have grown. I would note that most of that was in the past few years.

Looking around Frederick you will see right now we have three neighborhoods that are being built in in terms of new homes. We also have three new neighborhoods that are slated to start building this year. I’m sure there are more going through approval with the town too. It seems that every time I look, there’s a new neighborhood looking for approval from the town, so we are getting a lot of new Frederick Co neighborhoods but not much else.

We have had a few new restaurants move into the downtown area, including the delicious German deli. One thing we don’t really have is a supermarket. There is one right next door in Firestone, and then there is one in Dacono, but Frederick does not have its own supermarket. I am hoping that soon we will start building these things, in addition too new neighborhoods.

Even with the population growth, it is a great place to live. I know because I live here!
